\u00a0<\/strong>As part of Nanton\u2019s charming Christmas Market, I\u2019ll be delighted to meet the public at Tap Town Books. For the occasion, I\u2019ll be signing my book and offering a live painting demonstration. Every year, the town kicks off the holiday season with Nanton Lights the Way<\/em> and the popular Distinctly Nanton Christmas Market<\/em>, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Centre. Just 45 minutes south of Calgary, Nanton is the perfect festive destination.<\/p>\n

For the third consecutive year, I invite you to the studio\u2019s Open House. This year\u2019s theme celebrates the release of the book Painting Alberta<\/em>, an ideal gift for art lovers. In the early afternoon, a watercolour painting workshop open to all ages will be offered. You can also explore new artworks and collectible pieces displayed throughout the house and studio: paper works, watercolours, acrylic landscapes, art cards and prints from the Painting Alberta<\/em> collection. I look forward to welcoming you to this annual event!<\/p>\n

With each exhibition, the Painting Alberta<\/em> project continues to grow. During the two-month exhibit at the Okotoks Gallery, young visitors enjoyed a treasure hunt, a fun activity that delighted guests of all ages. I also had the pleasure of meeting visitors on Saturdays to share the stories behind the paintings. Reading the comments left in the guestbook, I\u2019m touched by the incredible diversity of people who came to see the exhibit, from across Canada and beyond. Until the next exhibition, you can experience the heart of this project in the book Painting Alberta<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Noteworthy: Alberta Books<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

This year, I\u2019ve gained a new appreciation for the amount of work that goes into writing a book. Alberta is home to many gifted authors whose works capture the spirit, stories and diversity of our province. Their dedication has inspired me to encourage everyone to consider giving books by local authors as holiday gifts. Here are a few suggestions:<\/p>\n
